Beautician Course
The Beautician training course, under the ‘SWAWLAMBAN’ project of WBWDU, Govt. of West Bengal, has not only provided a new avenue of livelihood to some women but also enabled them to start their own beauty parlours. We think these are the small steps from our side to get the women empowered.
Vocational Training
Our journey began with training women to manufacture soft toys and other handicrafts. Starting from there we have taken more initiatives for women empowerment. From Rahara Abhikshan we provide training on Cutting & Tailoring, Embroidery, Hand Painting, and Beautician courses. Every year about 15 – 20 women participates in these programs. These programs are partly financed by the Department of Women And Child Development, Govt. of West Bengal.

Rahara Abhikshan is an independent non - profit organization dedicated to building a better and brighter tomorrow for the underprivileged. We are a value-based organization comprising a group of educated, devoted and socially conscious individuals of different age groups. We have committed to this since 1995, five years prior to our registration in 1999-2000.
